Your 1st Day - Get Set Up
1. Set Up Your Mobile Devices
Android - Please follow the link to read through the instructions and requirements for setting up your work email on your android device.
iPhone and iPad - We highly recommend that on iOS you download and use the Google Gmail, calendar, Chrome, Meet and Google Search app. Using the Google apps versus the built in Mail and Calendar apps will give you a more seamless experience. Follow the setup instructions link to see what apps we recommend that you download for your iOS device.
2. Consider Popular Settings
Back to the web browser on your laptop or desktop. By default, Google Mail is set up well. However, there are a few things that you might want to turn on that are not turned on at first. These are in Google Mail Settings (click on the gear symbol).
1. Undo Send - after you turn this on, whenever you click "send" on a message, you're given a short period to click an "undo" link before the message is really sent. You choose the time from a list that goes from 5 seconds to 30 seconds. This is the type of message that you'll see after you click "send":
2. Send & Archive - if you turn this on, you see a new "send and archive" button whenever you reply to a message. Your reply is sent, and the conversation is immediately archived.
3. Enable Offline Mail - Sometimes you will need to check your messages while offline. You can enable your Gmail to be available Offline as long as you are using Chrome. While in Gmail Go to Settings and then under settings next to Advanced Settings is the Offline settings. Choose how many days of email to store: 7, 30 or 90.
